Commercial seaport of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky has started round-the-clock navigation, ligaBusinessInform reports. Within the framework of the preparation the port carried out research work, dredging at the approach channel, deployment of night-luminous buoys. Round-the-clock navigation will make it possible for the port to decrease handling time, which is in its turn to improve economic attractiveness of the vessel and to raise income from cargo handling.
Commercial seaport of Belgorod-Dnestrovsky specializes in handling of foreign trade and coastal trade cargo (grain, timber, general cargo, livestock, mineral-and-construction materials). The port is designed mainly for transshipment of general and dry bulk cargo but it may handle containers as well. The port handles up to 2.7 million tonnes of cargo per year.
