PRISCO Training Centre introduced two new courses. The first one is a specialized training for specialists from emergency teams. This course was designed for “Sakhalin Energy” and accredited by Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Response of the Russian Federation, Primorsk Branch. The second one is a unique simulator course designed for seafarers who operate on tugs equipped with rudder propellers. This course has been theretofore taught only at State Marine Academy named after Makarov in St. Petersburg.
As Sergey Vikharev, Director of PRISCO Training Centre, says up-to-date conditions of work require wide range of specialized training courses. Training Centre designs its courses according to specific activity of its partners. Now it is required for companies in oil and gas industry to have in-house emergency teams which can operate in emergency situations before the professional emergency teams’ coming. Taking into consideration all above-mentioned training courses include fire protection training, applied fire fighting, methodology of acting under chemical and nuclear hazards, medical and psychological training, studying of documents regulating work in emergency situations.
For the first time PRISCO Training Centre introduced new simulator course designed for seafarers who operate on tugs equipped with rudder propellers. Specialists from “Switzer Sakhalin Terminal Towage” and from “Rosnefteflot” passed above-mentioned courses and recognized high quality of studying and up-to-date equipment in PRISCO Training Centre. By the way, FESCO is also interested in above-mentioned courses.
