In Jan-May 08, total throughput of Petrolesport OJSC totaled 3.22 million tonnes (+11.8%, year-on-year) including 1.948 million tonnes of containerized cargo (+42.4%), 507,900 tonnes of timber (-17%), 395,300 tonnes of scrap metal (-24.8%), 277,000 tonnes of ro-ro cargo 12.2%, 89,700 tonnes of refrigerated cargo (+61.3%), the company reports.
In May 2008, throughput of Petrolesport grew by 13.4%, year-on-year, to over 730,000 tonnes 456,900 tonnes of containerized cargo (+46%).
In the 5-month period, throughput of Petrolesport specialized container terminal exceeded 203,000 TEU (+26%) In May the terminal handled 46,400 TEU (+25%, year-on-year).

Petrolesport container terminal operates from 1994. As of today, its annual capacity is 650,000 TEU. From 2004, average annual growth of the company’s container throughput makes 51%. In 2007, the company handled 368,000 TEU.
