IMAREX joins FFABA

IMAREX, the Oslo based shipping derivatives market and broker has joined the Forward Freight Agreement Brokers’ Association (FFABA).

The Chairman of the FFABA, John Wright said: “I am delighted that IMAREX is now a member of the FFABA and we look forward to working with them to expand the shipping derivatives market and continue to improve liquidity. This is great news for the marketplace and a positive response to our many mutual customers who have said they would like to see better cooperation between IMAREX and the FFABA.”

The association is made up of 20 companies who are members of the Baltic Exchange and operates within its framework. It promotes best practice in the trading of forward freight agreements (FFAs) and works closely with the Baltic Exchange in the production and development of indices and assessments for use as settlement mechanisms for shipping derivative contracts.
