In January-May, 2008, Commercial Port of Vladivostok OJSC handled 2.662.8 million tonnes of cargo (+64%, year-on-year). In the reported period, container turnover grew by 31.7%, year-on-year, to 99,042 TEU, transshipment of imported automobiles and specialized equipment – by 3% to 99,846 units.
In the 5-month period, the company handled 1.515.5 million tonnes of export cargo (up over 2-fold, year-on-year) including 1.094.7 million tonnes of metal and hard components (up over 4.4 times). Container export grew by 38% to 38,240 TEU.
In the reported period, transshipment of import cargo amounted to 702,100 tonnes (+22%, year-on-year). Transshipment of imported containers totaled 33,101 TEU (+30%).
In January-May, 2008, the company handled 445,200 tonnes of coastal trade cargo (+29%, year-on-year). Transshipment of coastal trade containers grew by 25% to 27,701 TEU. Transshipment of bulk oil products increased over 1.7 times to 160,400 tonnes.
In the reported period the port handled 1,400 vessels and 33,146 wagons.
