According to it, in the IV Q 2006, oil production by LUKOIL Group may total 24.6 mln tons. In January-September, the Group produced 71.134 mln tons of oil. Thus, provided the plan is fulfilled, LUKOIL will increase its oil production by 6.2% in 2006 - to 95.73 mln tons.
The Company is also planning to considerably increase its natural gas production. In January-September 2006, LUKOIL produced 9.98 bn cubic meters of marketable gas, which is 2.5-fold more y-o-y. The Company is planning to produce 3.9 bn cubic tons of gas more.
LUKOIL is the largest oil company in Russia. In 2005, LUKOIL Group produced 90.158 million tons of oil and 7.57 billion cubic meters of gas. LUKOIL's proven reserves of hydrocarbons as of January 1, 2005, were 20.331 billion barrels in oil equivalent, including 16.115 billion barrels of oil and 25.298 trillion cubic feet of gas. In 2005, the Company's net income under US GAAP grew by 51.7% to $6.44 billion. EBITDA rose by 46.7% to $7.657 billion.
