Throughput of Petersburg Oil Terminal up 3.6% to 5.7 mln in H1 08
In January-June, 2008, Petersburg Oil Terminal handled 5.7 million tonnes of oil products (+3.6%, or +200,000 tonnes, year-on-year), the company reports. Transshipment of dark oil products totaled 4 million tonnes.
In June, 08, the port handled 996,000 tonnes including 280,000 tonnes of light oil products.
Petersburg Oil Terminal (POT) is the largest stevedoring company in the Baltic region. POT provides the services of transshipment and storage of oil products for export, as well as bunkering vessels. In addition, the company conducts quality analysis of oil products, and accepts and treats slops discharged from vessels calling at the Port of St. Petersburg.
The Terminal complex is equipped to accept delivery of both clean and dirty oil products, including high viscosity fuel oil. The annual throughput capacity of the terminal is 12 million tons.
