FESCO opens regular container service between Ukraine, China and Singapore
On July 5, 2008, FESCO Transport Group opened FESCO Black Sea Service, regular container service between the ports of Ukraine, China and Singapore. At the initial phase the service is to link the ports of Odessa and Iljichevsk with Chinese ports of Shanghai, Dalian, Ningbo, Shekou, Ksingang, Chiwan and Klang, as well as with Singapore, twice a week.
"Opening of FESCO Black Sea Service enables the group to solve its strategic task of entering the market of container transportation across the Black Sea," Evgeny Ambrosov, President of FESCO Group says. According to him, "regular container service between Black Sea and Chinese ports and FESCO opportunities in the sphere of railway transportation will ensure a new direct service for customers."
" FESCO Black Sea Service will contribute to faster delivery of cargo for Chinese and Ukrainian exporters and importers and to minimization of transport costs," Sergei Kostin, Vice-President on FESCO Logistics Division said.
