Primorye government is ready to speed up building of Golden Horn Bay bridge
The Governor of the Primorsky Territory Sergey DARKIN held a meeting of the working group on building of the APEC Summit objects. The Meeting was held near the Funicular, where the builders started preparing the construction site for the bridge across the Golden Horn Bay. Two vice-Governors of the Primorsky Territory, Pavel POPOV and Yuri LIKHOIDA, the Head of the Vladivostok Administration, the representatives of the Pacific Navy Command, Traffic Police, design and contracting companies participated in the meeting; RIA PrimaMedia was informed in the press-service of the Primorsky Territory Administration. Leonid VILCHINSKIY, the Head of the Road Services Department, informed the Governor on the process of the bridge building. The bridge is planned to be built in 6 stages. Sergey DARKIN studied the schedule of construction work and the problem of procurement building materials. According to the Governor, it is necessary to fix the optimal schedule of procurement of metal structures and other building materials that are in demand when building the bridge. Sergey DARKIN gave special consideration to the problem of arranging necessary conditions for the builders."1 500 workers will be involved in the building of the bridge, mainly, the Primorye residents. We should create favorable conditions for their work," the Governor noted. The problem of traffic arrangement was also given much attention to. "It is inevitable that due to the large-scale building there will be heavy traffic in Vladivostok and we should do everything in our power to reduce the number of traffic jams," Sergey DARKIN told. According to the Governor, within the next few days building of the new by-pass roads and improving of the existed roads is to start in Vladivostok. "We should complete the building of the bridge as soon as possible and it can also prevent the traffic problems," the Governor noted. To achieve this object additional amount has been alloted from the Territory budget. One more urgent problem was discussed during the meeting – settling of those residents whose housing is located in the built-up area in new places. "All Vladivostok residents who live in the area of future bridge will be granted new apartments. The Territory and the City Administrations are ready to solve this problem," Sergey DARKIN informed. After the meeting Sergey DARKIN attended the sites where the Golden Horn Bay bridge footings will be located. We should remind you that the working group on building of the APEC Summit objects was organized on the initiative of Sergey DARKIN, the Primorye Governor. The meetings at the construction sites of the APEC Summit objects are to be held every week on Tuesdays.
