Kazakhstan eyeing stake in Burgas-Alexandroupolis project
Kazakhstan has confirmed its interest in obtaining a stake in the Burgas-Alexandroupolis oil pipeline project, Kazakh Deputy Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Lyazzat Kiinov told journalists during a Caspian energy forum today according to RBC. He noted that a year before Kazakhstan sent an official offer on the matter to the governments of Russia, Bulgaria, and Greece, but had not yet received any reply. Meanwhile, Kiinov did not specify what stake in the project Kazakhstan expected to acquire, saying only that the country was interested in Bulgaria or Greece's stakes in the oil pipeline, or at least part of them.
