Greenway starts construction of B-class warehouse complex near Moscow
Holding company Greenway (St. Petersburg) has commenced the construction of a B-class warehouse complex near Moscow (Shchelkovo, 18 kilometers from Moscow Ring Road) at its own 1.7-hectare plot of land. The terminal’s warehousing and office premises will occupy the territory of 5,000 sq m sufficient for storing some 8,100 pallets. The terminal’s planned throughput is to exceed 890,000 pallets per year. The construction is carried out by the developing subdivision of Greenway. By the end of 2008 investment into construction is to reach some RUR 150 mln. The complex is to be put into operation in the forth quarter of 2008, the company informs. Heated warehouse will provide services on handling and storage of palleted cargo.
The customers will have an opportunity of consulting at the Holding’s customs, logistics or legal department as well as of using the company’s own fleet of motor transport.
Andrei Savelyev, Director General of HC Greenway noted: "Last year we purchased a warehouse terminal in the port of Kotka (Finland). The terminal enables us to handle maritime, automobile and railway containers as a railway line is available. For two years the terminal’s annual throughput exceeded 14,000 TEU. This year we will commission a terminal in Russia. Similar projects are to be put into operation in St. Petersburg and Shanghai (China).
