Construction of port in Kozmino is kept on schedule
The construction of the oil loading port in Kozmino bay is kept on schedule. According to the press-service of the administration the governor of the Primorsky Krai Sergey Darkyn informed about that during his working trip to Nakhodka urban district. Mr. Darkyn has visited the Kozmino bay and a ground where the crude oil rail loading is under construction.
According to plan the terminal will accept the first tanker in 2009. “About 2 200 individuals are involved in work now and 900 workplaces will follow after putting the site into operation. The specialists will inhabit Beregovoe settlement in the intentionally built camp of 30 thousand square meters living space. Primorians will be the majority of them. Dedicated experts are being trained at present based on the FESTU Institute of Petroleum and Gas”, - Mr. Darkyn said.
The governor indicated the importance of the project for the social and economic development of the region placing emphasis on: “The creation of the up-to-date oil terminal in Primorie for oil export to the South-East Asian countries will strengthen Krai’s hands at the international sea shipping market. Budget revenues will grow up. New economically effective workplaces to be created”.
Construction of the oil port in Kozmino bay will help to solve an important problem for Primorie – the development of the transport infrastructure, and formation of the petrochemical industry will allow in prospect to build new energy generating powers in Nakhodka and exonerate the city of dependence on the imported masut.
