Maersk Supply Service gets two newbuildings

Maersk Supply Service took delivery of two newbuildings on September 18, Mærsk Traveller and Mærsk Logger. The Mærsk Traveller was delivered from STX Norway Offshore AS, Brattvåg. The vessel is the ninth unit in a series of ten medium size anchor handlers. The 73 metres long ship is fitted with a double father-and-son engine plant with a total output of 10,200 kW to a service speed of 16 knots. The vessel has a bollard pull of 173 tons. The hull, as for the other vessels in the series, is built at STX Tulcea in Romania. The second delivery on the same day, the anchor handler Mærsk Logger, is built by Volkswerft Stralsund G.m.b.H. Mærsk Logger is the second unit in a series of six sister vessels. Mærsk Logger is 90 metres long and is powered by four Caterpillar (MaK) engines type 8M32 developing 23,480 hp. The vessel has a bollard pull of 255 tons. Both vessels will fly the Danish flag.
