Port of Novorossiysk reports a 7.7% volume drop to 47m tons

Cargo volume handled at the Port of Novorossiysk in January-May 2011 fell by 7.7% from the five-month period of 2010, to 47 million tons, the Association of Commercial Sea Ports said.

Port of Novorossiysk is the largest Russian port. The port’s waterfront exceeds 13 km. Currently, over 80 companies based at the port provide stevedoring, shipping agent, surveying and bunkering services. In 2010, cargo throughput of Novorossiysk port totaled 117,08 million tons..
