Odessa port expects a 2.3% gain for H1 2011, at 13,3 million tons
Cargo throughput of SE Odessa Commercial Sea Port (OCSP) in the first half of 2011 is projected to be 13,3 million tons, up 2.3% compared with H1, 2010’s numbers, the state-run company said.
Six-month net income of OCSP is expected to reach UAH 205 million (+13.9%). The volume of payments to the country’s budget will be about UAH 220 million.
State-owned Odessa Commercial Sea Port is a largest port of the Black Sea-Azov basin. The port encompasses 14 ha, 9-km waterfront and 54 berths to accommodate 13meter draft vessels. Port of Odessa enables trade flow in the amount of over 14m tons of dry cargo and 14m tons of petroleum products a year. In 2010, cargo throughput of OCSP shrank by 11.8% year-over-year to 24,7 million tons.
