Hanjin Shipping is teaming up with NYK Line to renew its Far East-Middle East Express service starting from early July, the Journal of Commerce reported.
NYK Line will replace STX and Sinokor, which had been partners with Hanjin in the FMX service since it was launched in November 2009.
Hanjin and NYK plan to replace the fleet of six vessel with capacities of 4,500 to 5,300 20-foot equivalent units with by six 6,200 to 6,500- TEU ships. Hanjin will deploy five of the larger ships and NYK, one.
The port rotation of the FMX service starting on July 7 will be: Busan, Kwangyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Singapore, Colombo, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Karachi, Port Kelang, Singapore and back to Busan.
