Vladivostok is included in Intra Asia-8 port rotation
Commercial Sea Port of Vladivostok (CPV) has been included in the port rotation of Intra Asia-8 service of MCC Transport, the Russian company said. Recently, the port of Vladivostok handled the line’s first ship, the 1,740teus container ship.
The loop service runs 35 days connecting the ports in Southeast Asia: Jakarta (JICT), Surabaya, Manila, Nagoya, Shimizu, Tokyo, Yokohoma, Shanghai, Keelung, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore and back to Jakarta. There are 5 container ships operating on the line. The IA-8 service vessels will be calling once a week at CPV’s berths number 14-15, the stevedore company said.
Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok OJSC, part of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest Russian seaports in the Far East. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront with 17 berths, including terminals for handling grain, containers, imported cars and a passenger terminal. In 2010, CPV’s cargo throughput rose year-over-year by 11% to 6,9 million tons.
Singapore-based MCC Transport, is a wholly owned subsidiary of the AP Moller Maersk Group in South-East Asia.
