Barge breaks in two during loading operation
The barge "B-126" (owner Ulyanovsk Shipping Company), broke in half in the town of Sengiley, on the 6th km of the river Sok (Volga river basin). The incident occurred on Monday when a cargo of crushed stone was loaded on board the ship, the Transport Ministry’s press service reported citing the State Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre.
No one was injured in the incident, the report said. The barge has been unloaded and beached.
