MAN Diesel adds Chinese licensee
MAN Diesel & Turbo SE, Copenhagen, Denmark, recently added CSSC Guangzhou Marine Engine Ltd. (GMD) as a two-stroke licensee, MarineLog reports.
Part of the state-owned CSSC Group, GMD expects to produce 3 million hp of engines in an initial building period. The engines will be built at a purpose-built facility that will begin production at the start of 2012.

GMD intends to make full use of the MAN B&W two-stroke portfolio and is establishing itself in the heart of Southeast Asia with its thriving shipbuilding industry.
