Cargo throughput of the port of Temryuk for first half of 2011 increased by 34.68% on a year earlier, to 1,17 million tons, the Port Authority said.
Six-month exports rose by 36.1% to 1,06 million tons, imports surged as much as 2.8 times, to 55,310 tons. Short sea traffic fell 22.3% to 62,130 tons.
In the reporting period the port handled 446 vessels, 34.4% more than a year before.
Port of Temryuk is located on the Taman seashore of the Azov Sea. The port has 1,2km-long waterfront. The port of Temryuk handles primarily general cargoes, round timber, lumber, metal. In 2010, Temryuk port’s cargo throughput declined by 7.4% to 1,95 million tons.
