Carriers Alliance to suspend PSW Service

The New World Alliance (TNWA), including APL Co. Pte Ltd (APL), Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) announced suspension of the PSW Transpacific service (Pacific Southwest Service), MOL said Friday.

PSW provided service between Taiwan⁄South China⁄Korea and Los Angeles⁄Oakland and employed five ships with capacity of 4,600~4,700 TEU operated by HMM.

The TNWA will continue to provide services between these locations with other deployments.

The last eastbound sailing of PSW will depart Pusan on 14 July 2011, MOL said in its press release.
