Singapore's container throughput volumes in June dipped month-on-month but rose year-on-year, according to preliminary estimates from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The port moved 2.48m teu of containers in June, falling from 2.57m teu recorded in May but inching up from 2.4m teu seen in the same month of 2010. For the first-half of the year, Singapore handled a total of 14.6m teu, up 3.5% compared to 14.1m teu in the previous year's period.
