Year-on-year, TEU traffic in Riga rose by 22.8 percent to 141,700, and Tallinn posted a 22.5 percent increase, to 92,200 units, it said.
TEU traffic in Liepaja doubled in the reporting period, to 1,470 units, while Ventspils, another Latvian port, handled no TEUs in January-June.
The Russian port of St Petersburg posted a 35.7 percent year-on-year rise to 1.19 million units in TEU traffic in the first half of this year.
