Net revenue rose by four percent to Rs.949.03 crore from the Rs.915.89 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year, while other income amounted to Rs.58.84 crore, compared with Rs.35.88 crore in the year-ago quarter.
During the quarter, revenue from 'Exim' segment was Rs.770.99 crore, compared with Rs.720.21 crore in Q1FY11, an increase of seven percent, while that from 'Domestic' was Rs.178.04, down by nine percent from the Rs.195.68 crore in the preceding year quarter.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of Rs.8.00 per equity share of Rs.10 each for the fiscal year 2011. This is in addition to the interim dividend of Rs.7.50 per share already paid.
At the BSE, Container Corporation closed Thursday's trading at Rs.1,131, down by 0.72 percent from the previous close.
