Mermaid Maritime has bagged a contract in Indonesia for its tender drilling rig MTR-2, Seatrade Asia online reports. Thoresen Thai Agencies offshore marine arm said the nine month contract with an undisclosed international oil and gas company was worth around $26.5m. The contract has received approval by Indonesia’s Executive Agency for Upstream Oil and Gas Activity and the company said work under the contract had already started.
