Port sources said that “[The heavy rainfall] at the weekend was terrible and it’s forecast to continue this week.”
The source added that “Unloading coal is not a problem in the rain, but the wind could be an issue adding cranes used for unloading cargoes are unable to operate when winds reach the Beaufort wind force scale of seven or eight.”
The source further said that “Floating cranes have to stop working at closer to six [on the wind force scale].”
