RTL Group (RTL), a Russian logistics company was the operator of a record number of imported cars that was delivered ever to the Russian Baltic ports. Today, July 26 the ocean-going Sunlight Ace laden with 4,700 Mazda cars docked at Big Port of St. Petersburg, the company said.
The Bahamas-flagged vessel built in 2009 has a length of 200 m, beam - 32 m. The ship agent is Inflot Worldwide Ferry Services LTD.
"We have made another breakthrough in the automotive logistics, taking first in St. Petersburg, the largest ocean-going ferry directly from Japan. This is the first after the crises large shipment of cars to Russia, and the largest in recent years…," RTL General Director Constantine Skovoroda said.
