Last night, tugboats of CJSC PORTOFLOT towed three warships on the Neva river. The ships arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in celebration of the Russian Navy Day on July 31, the PortNews correspondent reported from the scene.
The Minsk, Steregushchy and the submarine "Saint Petersburg" passed the Blagoveshchensky Bridge, which was lifted 20 minutes ahead of schedule, with help of six maneuverable tugs of Ecological Fleet LLC (ship operator - JSC PORTOFLOT). The hardest part of the operation was towing the submarine, production director of PORTOFLOT Igor Stepanov said.
The towing operation, which lasted about 2 hours, did not interrupt cargo ships traffic. The warships moored at the Admiralty Embankment will stay until the end of the holidays.
The vessels will make for the Gulf of Finland on June 1-2, towed by the same tugs.
