The Government of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region plans to construct three fishing refrigerated vessels of the Noum type, the administration’s press office said.
The deputy governor of Yamal Andrey Kugaevsky has inspected the construction of the Noum, a refrigerated fishing and processing vessel ordered at Sumkinsky shipyards near Tobolsk.
"This one will be the first such vessel in the Ob-Irtysh basin. It will help organize the fishing in the Ob, Taz and Gydan… in the Kara Sea, so we will get an additional 400 to 600 tons of fish annually," the official said.
The reefer vessel of this class may operate both in the river and sea waters. This fleet of reefer ships will greatly facilitate the export of products from remote areas of the YNAR.
