Quebec's Davie Yards is still in the running for a contract under a C$35 billion ($37 billion) Canadian shipbuilding program, officials running the selection process said on Wednesda, Reuters reports.
Davie's proposal was put on hold last week after its assets were sold to Upper Lakes Group, part of a consortium making the bid. The group includes SNC-Lavalin Group Inc (SNC.TO) and South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (042660.KS).
The National Shipbuilding Procurement Strategy Secretariat has accepted Davie's application for a change of bidder, it said in a release.
