Russian Ministry of Transport has released a draft decree of the Russian Government about the possibility of calls of vessels with nuclear power plants at Russian ports based in the Gulf of Finland. According the project, arrivals of nuclear-powered ships will be allowed at Big Port St. Petersburg, Primorsk and Ust-Luga, the Ministry said.
The need to regulate the calls of nuclear-powered icebreakers at the regional ports has been discussed since winter navigation 2010-2011.
