South Korean companies will sponsor the reconstruction of port in Nakhodka

Yesterday the delegation of big South Korean companies Busan Port Authority, Daewoo Logistic, Huyndai Delivery, HanSung Line and others, visited Nakhodka aiming to collaborate in the reconstruction of Nakhodka seaport and creation of container terminal on its territory. It is planned to create the joint enterprise and mobilize investment for the reconstruction of port. It is planned to reconstruct the port in several phases. As the result the port should process up to 400000 TEU per year. The expected investments are $ 90 million and the major part of the means will make up foreign investments.
According to Noh Ki Thae, the corporate president of Busan Port Authority, it was very important for him and his partners to visit the port of Nakhodka and meet the authorities of the city. He also noted that this joint project became topical because of the recent talks of the presidents of both countries where they spoke about the development of Russian – South Korean relations in the fields of logistics and sea ports use.
