Construction of New Admiralty bridge is delayed
The decision to start construction of the New Admiralty Bridge has not been made as yet, since there are still some pending issues, the St. Petersburg Governor said Tuesday.
Gov. Georgy Poltavchenko, who chaired a meeting on the construction of the New Admiralty bridge, said that the new bridge project is being elaborated, as well as its feasibility. The city government is considering all points at issue of the project so to avoid any inconveniences for the city residents and navigation.
"We need to find the best option," the city head said.
The new bridge across the Neva River was supposed to appear in St. Petersburg, not later than August 31, 2013. Initially, the bridge project was valued RUB 5.1 billion. The project Customer is St. Petersburg-based Directorate of Transport Construction, the general designer - JSC Institute "Stroiproekt."
