VNT throughput soars 34 percent to 8.7m tons in Jan-Sept
Shipments of petroleum products from Ventspils Nafta Terminals (VNT) increased by 34 percent year-on-year to some 8.7 million tons, 2.2 million tons more than a year before, the Company said.
In the reporting period, the volume of diesel fuel delivered by railway and handled at the terminal surged by as much as 62 percent, or nearly one million ton from last year's figures. The volume of diesel fuel supplied through the pipeline rose by 700,000 tons. Rail deliveries of petrol and fractions increased by twofold year-on-year.
SIA Ventspils Nafta Terminals is a majority owned company of JSC Ventspils Navta, which holds a 51 percent stake. VTTI's Eurotank Holding Sarl owns a 49 percent stake in VNT.
VNT provides transit services - receipt, storage and loading of oil and petroleum products via pipelines, rail tank cars and tankers. VNT is the largest company in the Baltic region with the total tank storage capacity of 1.2 million cbm.
