Coal stockpiles at China's main ports increased to 11.185 mln tonnes
Coal stockpiles at the four major harbors around Bohai Sea increased to 11.185 million tonnes in the week ending October 16, up 8.37pct or 864,000 tonnes from 10.321 million tonnes in the previous week.
Daily coal arrivals to the ports increased after the Daqin rail line resumed its full operations. Meanwhile, severe weather conditions disrupted coal shipments at the ports. Coal stocks at the four ports are expected to increase further next week, which may put a cap on the growth of thermal coal prices.
