Vessels arrival time improves on Asia-US West Coast trade
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has updated the global vessels' on time arrival performance for July to September with results showing improvements in the Asia-US West Coast trade lane, Seatrade Asia online reports. Data recorded by MOL show an on time arrival performance of 95% between July to September on the Asia-US West Coast trade, up from 88% between April to June.
On the Asia-US East Coast and transatlantic trades, the on time arrival performance remains the same at 86% and 92% respectively compared to the previous three-month period.
The Asia-Europe trade, however, registered a drop in performance to 89% from 90%.
“When a vessel arrives in the first port of destination area for both directions, eastbound and westbound, within 24 hours of scheduled time of arrival, the voyage is regarded as on time arrival,” MOL said in a statement.
