UIC denies transfer of Baltic Shipyard’s shares to CB or USC
Shares of St. Petersburg-based Baltic Shipyard were never handed over to the trust management of Russia’s Central Bank and United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), United Industrial Corporation (UIC) statement said.
"Stockholders of Baltic Shipyard and Northern Shipyards never transferred the shares to the trust management of the RF Central Bank or to United Shipbuilding Corporation," UIC said in a statement adding it will take “legal steps against those who spread false information and against any unlawful interference with the enterprises activity, which are privately owned."
An earlier report said United Shipbuilding Corporation had been chosen by the Russian Government and President Dmitry Medvedev to perform the contracts for construction of 4 diesel-powered ice-breakers.
