    LDH Energy targets Asian shipping joint ventures

    Singapore will be the “main engine” for LDH Energy’s new shipping business and the company has already done a number of deals in Asia as it looks to build its fleet through “value added joint ventures”, Seatrade Asia online reports. ??Asian owners hit out at ‘excessive’ carbon levy?
    The proposed $30bn carbon levy expected of international shipping is excessive and the IMO should be the body to guide the decision, the Asian Shipowners' Forum (ASF) says.
    China Shipping has a warchest to hand ready to take advantage of the misfortunes of others in the downturn.
