Cambodia-flag cargo ship with a crew of 11 sank in the Black Sea off the coast of the Turkish province of Zonguldak. Authorities say 8 remain unaccounted for, 3 seafarers were rescued alive, Today’s Zaman reports.
The scrap metal-laden ship was en route to Turkey's Aliaga port from Russia when it sank off the coast of Eregli, Gov. Erol Ayy?ld?z said on Tuesday.
Those rescued were the captain's second and third mates and the ship’s cook, the Maritime Affairs Directorate said.
Turkish Coast Guard rescue team is searching for missing seafarers.
