STX Dalian yard wins bumper order for 10 boxships

South Korea's STX Offshore has landed a bumper contract to build 10 containerships of 5,000 teu in capacity each for Zodiac Maritime Agencies, Seatrade Asia online reports.

The European shipowner is paying $45m for each vessel that will be built at STX Offshore's Dalian yard in China.

The newbuildings are planned to be delivered in the third quarter of 2014.
