Petrobras may build third LNG terminal

Brazilian demand for liquefied natural gas will grow by about 50 percent in the next three years, prompting state-owned Petroleo Brasileiro SA to consider adding a third regasification terminal, a company official said.
Brazil will need capacity to process 33 million cubic meters a day of the fuel by 2012, said Marcio Demori, LNG trading manager for the company known as Petrobras at the World LNG Summit in Barcelona today. Existing daily capacity at Petrobras’s two existing terminals is 21 million cubic meters, he said.
