Palmali secures three PSVs contract from LUKOIL
OAO LUKOIL has named the Palmali Group as winner in bidding for contract for the construction of three Platform Supply Vessels (PSV) to be operated at LUKOIL’s V. Filanovsky offshore field in the Caspian Sea, the Group said. The vessels are scheduled for delivery in November 2014.
Of the three vessels, two PSVs will be deployed to maintain year-round production wells drilling, and to take part in start-up operations. In the future, upon the field commissioning, the vessels will be transporting cargo / wastes to / from LUKOIL’s offshore facilities.
In addition the Group is contracted to build a multipurpose Special Service / Standby Rescue Vessel to perform permanent year-round emergency preparedness for oil spill response at offshore field facilities.
LUKOIL’s V. Filanovsky offshore oil field is located in the Russian sector of the northern Caspian Sea, 170 km south off Astrakhan. The facilities include the Ice-Resistant Fixed Platform (IRFP-1), Living Quarters Module (LQM-1), the Central Processing Platform (CPP) and a Riser Block (RB).
The new ships will be operated at the offshore facilities during the field development (2014-2015), and after its commissioning (from 2015-2016).
Ship’s general characteristics: Multipurpose Standby / Rescue Vessel: Class KM * ARC5 AUT1 * ICS DYNPOS 2 SUPPLY VESSEL, length overall - 80 m, beam mld -17 m, bollard pull: 60 tons. The shallow-draft ice-class vessel of unlimited navigation area, for towing and supply operations year-round in the shallow part of the North Caspian Sea and the Volga-Caspian Canal.

The shallow-draft high ice class vessel of unlimited navigation area, for towing and supply operations year-round in the shallow part of the North Caspian Sea and the Volga-Caspian Canal.
