Laky Verf Shipyard launches 9th serial patrol boat for Interior Ministry
Shlisselburg-based Laky Verf Shipayrd today launched the ninth and final vessel in a series of rescue and patrol boats designed by Laky Verf (Project № 13). The boat named Grozny was built for the Russian Interior Ministry, the shipbuilding firm said.
Today, the shipbuilder also laid down keel of the first vessel of the upgraded Project 14.
"The new project patrol boat features increase length, increased diesel fuel supply on board, the captain’s workplace was modified and improved," said Laky Shipyard General Director Konstantin Buryanov.
Laky Verf Ltd. based at Nevsky Shipyard owns its own production facilities. Since 2005, the company has been building steel and aluminum motor luxury yachts complying with the European standards and belonging to the A-Ocean Class. The vessels are being built under the survey of Bureau Veritas. Interior and exterior of the yachts are developed by the famous Dutch designers Guido de Groot (Guido de Groot Design) and Frank Laupman (Omega Architects).
