MRV 14 project boat commissioned at Rosmorport’s Arkhangelsk branch
The lead multipurpose workboat Lebedin of Project MRV14 built at Moscow Shipyard has been commissioned into service by Arkhangelsk branch of Rosmorport, the state company said.
The boat was delivered to the port of Arkhangelsk in August by road transport and after installation of main engines was launched. The customer signed an acceptance certificate after the shipyard experts completed outfitting and sea trials of the vessel.
The multipurpose workboat MRV14 Lebedin will be utilized in Arkhangelsk port for delivery of pilots, crewmembers, port control officers and passengers to the ships at Arkhangelsk port’s offshore anchorage, buoy laying and maintenance, survey of navigable waterways, transport of 500-kg cargo and for other tasks. The workboat will be operated in estuaries, littoral zones, in inland seas and in harbors.
The vessel of Project MRV14 is a modern, powerful, economical, fast and highly maneuverable boat, which is a combination of modern design solutions and innovative shipbuilding technologies. The workboat is equipped with advanced Volvo Penta IPS 450 propulsion system.
