  RS introduces its new division at SMM trade fair

  

  Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has inaugurated its new office in Hamburg – the Atlantic Division, at SMM Hamburg 2012, the 25th international trade fair, held 4-7 September in Germany.

  The classification society experts also conducted a workshop “From A to Z: Certification in the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping". The workshop addressed some issues related to the requirements for placing products on Russian and Customs Union markets, the assessment of conformity with mandatory requirements, now and in the future in 2013, etc.
  
  Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) created in 1913 has become a leading classification society. Throughout the years PS has performed classification and technical verification of icebreakers and ice sailing vessels.PS activity is aimed at ensuring the safety of navigation, safety of life at sea, prevention of pollution from ships. RS is recognized by the European Union and is a member of IACS, an associate member of INTERTANKO and BIMCO INTERCARGO.
