  Transport Minister signs a decree on merger of two St. Petersburg educational institutions

  

  Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov on September 11, 2012 signed the order on the merger of the St. Petersburg State University of waterways and the State Maritime Academy of Adm. S. Makarov (SMA), the Ministry said on Tuesday.

  After the merger both educational institutions will be renamed as the State University of Sea and River Fleet of Adm. Makarov.

  The Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport (Rosmorrechflot) was appointed to be the founder of the university.
