Maersk hikes rates on India, Sri Lanka - Mediterranean trade

Maerks Line has announced General Rate Increase (GRI) on all cargo shipped from India and Sri Lanka to Mediterranean, excluding Syria, effective as from October 1, Maersk Line's press release said.

"In order to continue offering our broad portfolio of services and high level of reliability it will be necessary for us to implement a number of rate increases/restorations," the Dannish carrier said.

GRI will be as follows:

$200/400/400 per 20’/40’/45’ high cube container
