Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding bags order to build two 76,000 dwt dry bulk carriers
China-based Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding bagged an order to build two 76,000 dwt dry bulk carriers for a Germany-based shipowner, Seatrade Asia online reports.
The two newbuildings, which are already under construction, are scheduled to be delivered in the fourth quarter. Financial details of the deal are not disclosed.
In August, Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding delivered one 27,000 dwt multipurpose vessel and a 45-car equivalent units ro-ro vessel.
In the same month, the shipbuilder has also started work on building five dry bulk carriers of varying sizes and one 3,820 teu container vessel.
