Aker Solutions secures contract from Zhenhua Heavy Industries

Aker Solutions has won a contract from Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries to supply a complete drilling equipment package for the new 2000E type jackup drilling rig which is currently being built by Zhenhua. The rig is scheduled for delivery in 2013, SinoShipNews reports.

"We are pleased to see Aker Solutions' competitive position in the jackup market, which remains active," said Thor Arne Håverstad, head of drilling technologies at Aker Solutions.
