TNK-BP is interested in upstream operations in Colombia, RBC reported quoting the company's Senior Vice President Christopher Einchcomb.
In early 2012, the company registered to participate in tenders for oil and gas fields in this country but failed to complete the approval procedure due to technical reasons, he said. TNK-BP is still looking to expand its overseas operations by entering the Colombian market, he said.
TNK-BP's currently conducts foreign business in Vietnam, Brazil, and Venezuela. Einchcomb went on to say that TNK-BP will consider the opportunities of expanding its operations in Brazil and tapping the markets of Argentina, Peru and Bolivia, as well as Middle East and North Africa, with the exception of Algeria and Libya.
